Charles Dan

Charles Dan started his extensive international experience in 1987 as Assistant to the Secretary-General of the International Organisation of Employers (IOE) in Geneva and was appointed as Deputy Executive Secretary and Executive Secretary of the IOE. In 1994 he joined the International Labour Organization (ILO) as Senior Adviser for Employers’ Organizations in North and West Africa based in Dakar. From 1999 to 2008, he served as Senior Adviser to the ILO Director-General. Since May 2013, he is the ILO Special Representative on Youth and Social Inclusion based in Geneva.

Charles Dan holds a Diploma of Higher Studies in Public Law from the University Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne and is a graduate from the Institute of Political Studies – Science Po Paris.
