Mwalimu Musheshe

Mwalimu Musheshe, is the Co-founder and Chairman of Uganda Rural Development and Training Program, URDT. He has founded several formal innovative educational institutions that train young people to become catalysts of change by using the URDT Methodology. The award-winning URDT Girls School that Dr. Musheshe founded links education to rural development in an innovative way by enhancing both academic success and skills to act as “change agents” for their families and communities”. He is a facilitator, mentor and organizer in the communities using the Visionary Approach to human and rural transformation. He has been widely recognized as a visionary and selfless leader, Musheshe has been awarded by three Rotary Clubs in Uganda. He was elected the first Ashoka Fellow in East Africa in 2002.
