Dr. Ibrahim Assane Mayaki

Dr. Ibrahim Assane Mayaki of the Republic of Niger is the Chief Executive Officer of the New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD) Planning and Coordinating Agency, head-quartered in Midrand, South Africa.

From 1997 to 2000, Dr. Mayaki was Prime Minister of Niger. In August 2000, Mayaki created the Public Policy Analysis Circle (Cercle d’analyse des politiques publiques), a thinktank focusing on health and education policy.

Last year, he was appointed by the Chairman of the Development Assistance Committee, to serve on the High Level Panel on the Future of the Development Assistance Committee under the leadership of Mary Robinson.
